Here are the positives: amazing views or harbor or stadium. The front desk and maintenance staff are professionals who go above and beyond to make living here a wonderfully pleasant experience. There are huge downsides to living here as well that on a rather small but significant part the building is responsible for. This area is NOT safe. Around July 8th 2022, one of the member of the squeegee-kids de-facto gang shot and killed a man in bright daylight right outside the building. Around March... 22 2023, my neighbor was held up at gunpoint inside our garage and they stole his phone wallet and his new Lamborghini. While driving that car in Baltimore made him a target, no one deserves to be robbed at gunpoint. This is where the building’s share of responsibility comes in: they have made our garage open and free accessible to the public. The apartments that share a level with the garage are a mere 1 tap of a fob away from people from the outside world. Those people with ill intent can just wait for one of the residents to let them in and next thing you know there is a person with a gun outside your apartment. Regardless of responsibility, living in DT Baltimore is less safe than it was a few years ago. We will be considering canton or Towson as safer alternatives and you should too.

I love everything about the building. I have been living at 414 for a year and it feels like 5 stars hotel and more. Everything is amazing about 414. Location , clean and luxury. Louise the leasing manager helped us from day 1 and always there trying to make all the residents happy and satisfied. I appreciate 414 and everyone who works there. Thank you and I recommend everyone to experience living there. 10/10

I have lived at 414 for about three years now and have had several, recurring issues. These issues have persisted enough to warrant an early lease termination due to inhabitable living conditions. Management has not expressed any remorse, nor taken responsibility for their lack of building maintenance; they only care about money, not their residents. Please note – I’m speaking solely based on my own experiences, but I know for a fact that I am not the only resident who feels this way.
I have... had several insect infestations in my unit, maintenance requests, and the problem keeps recurring. They "fix" the problem temporarily, just to reappear the next week. I’ve had to follow up with my request multiple times before I get any response. It’s gotten to the point where I’m not able to work on my laptop, cook, eat, or use my bathroom without a bug disturbing me. It is degusting. I don’t keep trash in my trash can BECAUSE of this. One staff member told me that I have one of the cleanest units at 414, so the problem does not lay with me.
On one of my most recent requests, I specifically say that I am no longer comfortable with their staff entering my unit due to COVID and they didn’t honor this. I’ve had management knock on my door at inappropriate hours and/or during the workday. At first, they told me the problem was due to a vacant unit and they needed to flush the drains, and next, they told me it’s because my AC unit hasn’t been maintained (and should be done annually). Obviously, there’s some bigger issue here. I had to leave my apartment for 5+ weeks because it has not been livable, just to return to a fly-infested apartment. It is not worth the money, time, emotional stress to live here. They are trying to suck every penny out of me because of THEIR shortfalls and lack of responsibility; it’s downright disturbing. I would not recommend living here.

One of the leasing people called and told me to not come in even though I had already scheduled a tour the day prior. Apparently you have to prove your income before they even allow you to tour the property.

I've had the opportunity to lease my beautiful 1 BD/BA with an incredible view of the Inner Harbor thanks to Louis B, the leasing agent who diligently worked with me to secure my residence at 414 Light Street. Of all the other places in the Inner Harbor that I looked into, what solidified the deal was the professionalism, patience and outstanding support I got from Louis. Without her, I most likely would not have moved in. 5 stars across the board!!
